General Information about the Virtual Reunion

On June 6 we will be holding our annual Walk Your Paws event benefiting the Humane Society of Parkersburg's ongoing efforts to help homeless animals in our community. This year's event, appropriately themed "Paws Across America" will not only be a local event but will also be a reunion for the puppy mill dogs now scattered all across the country.

While we would love to have all the adopters of the puppy mill dogs join us here in Parkersburg, we know this isn't likely. Thus, we built this Virtual Reunion on our website! We're asking adopters to share in this event by sending us stories, photos and even video of their Whispering Oaks puppy mill dog. We will then share these stories here for everyone's viewing pleasure.

We are so grateful to those people that chose to adopt one of our incredible puppies as we know it hasn't been easy. The rehabilitation and training of a puppy mill dog can be very long and trying, but we appreciate so much that people from around the country were willing to give these dogs not only a home but the patience and love they so deserve.

The reunion itself is absolutely free! But adopters may receive a "Puppy Mill Survivor" bandana with a donation of $10 and a Walk Your Paws event T-shirts for a donation of $25.00 or more.

How to Participate

Adopters of dogs rescued from the Whispering Oaks Puppy Mill are asked to:

1. E-mail REUNION@HSOP.ORG

• Your Story - in Word, plain text, pdf or within your email.
  
• Pictures - in .jpg format only please.
  
• Link to Video – Use YouTube to download your videos to their site and send us the link. We'll include it with your story.

2. Include also -

• The adopted dog's name
  
• Breed
  
• Rescue or Shelter where adopted
  
• Owner's Name
  
• City and State where you live – so we can put you on the "Paws Across America" map

Optional – If the adopter wishes to receive a "Puppy Mill Survivor" bandana or to make a general donation towards the continued operations and services provided by the Humane Society of Parkersburg, they may:
